Plastocon, a plastic injection-molding corporation in Ocononomoc, Wisconsin, just a few minutes from Rogers’ main campus, assembled an awesome collection of toys through their onsite Angel Drive. Plastocon, which has about 60 employees and has been in business for more than 50 years, learned about a need for holiday gifts for children in treatment, and being a good neighbor, it held its first collection drive last year.
“The Angel Drive seems so nice right around the holidays, and Rogers is part of our community,” said Bonni Chmielewski, human resources manager for the company. “It’s fun shopping for kids’ toys especially around the holidays.”
Chmielewski placed a bin in the front of the office and in the morning, she would often come in to find toys already dropped inside, just waiting to go to their new home.
“It’s for a good cause, and it was really easy to do,” said Chmielewski.
Thank you to everyone at Plastocon for the board games, Uno™ cards, stuffed animals, books, and dolls. We are grateful!
Please, will you help us save more lives this year than ever before? Here’s how:
Make an impact by giving an end-of-year donation to Rogers Foundation. Your gift can be made to support one or all of our lifesaving initiatives, it can be given as a tribute gift for a friend or loved one, and it can be designated to the program or regional clinic of your choice. Your donations save lives!
May is Mental Health Month! A “Give for a Better Day” coping skills drive, held in conjunction with your business, school or civic organization, is an excellent way to help patients at Rogers fill their emotional toolkits with small, but effective, therapeutic items. And, you will help start a conversation about the importance of mental health and wellness! Not sure where to begin?
