Who better to recruit gift items for patients receiving treatment at Rogers this holiday than – you guessed it – Cielo, Rogers’ recruiting partner! This powerhouse group is responsible for bringing the best and the brightest staff to us, and this year, they put their talents into action for the holidays by soliciting donations for a two-week long gift drive.
This small but mighty group filled a table to overflowing with coloring books, puzzles, crossword puzzle books, brain teaser cubes, crayons and markers, warm socks, and winter hats. Their generosity will keep hands and minds busy over the season.
The group donated blankets in June, but this was its first time participating in the holiday drive, said Recruiting Manager Laurie Schmidt, who estimated the value of their donation to be $350 worth of items.
“We wanted to give back to a wonderful organization whose mission we believe in… to help bring some comfort to those who have mental health concerns and need to feel some love during the holidays.”
Please, will you help us save more lives this year than ever before? Here’s how:
Make an impact by giving an end-of-year donation to Rogers Foundation. Your gift can be made to support one or all of our lifesaving initiatives, it can be given as a tribute gift for a friend or loved one, and it can be designated to the program or regional clinic of your choice. Your donations save lives!
May is Mental Health Month! A “Give for a Better Day” coping skills drive, held in conjunction with your business, school or civic organization, is an excellent way to help patients at Rogers fill their emotional toolkits with small, but effective, therapeutic items. And, you will help start a conversation about the importance of mental health and wellness! Not sure where to begin?
